GAG Recipe Challenge- Grilled Jalapeno Poppers
1 lb of jumbo jalapeno peppers
1 lb of smart ground
1 package of Fat Free Cream cheese
1 package turkey bacon
1 packet of taco seasoning
Water
Half the peppers long ways. Remove seeds and veins from peppers. (Keep in small bowl for later). Mix smart ground and taco seasoning in skillet following package directions. Heat until water is absorbed. Add jalapeno seeds, veins, & Cream Cheese to skillet with meat mixture. If you don't want it spicy then leave out seeds and veins. Fill pepper halves with meat mixture. Put 2 halves together so they form whole pepper. Wrap with bacon and secure with toothpicks. Grill for 1 hour or until bacon is completely cooked. Enjoy!
This is a recipe that I modified from one with a ton of fat and calories to one with little fat and less than 1/4 of the calories. It tastes so good you will think that you are eating bad even though you aren't.

The Cook-Out Plan
Things to make a successful cook-out. AKA-The game plan.
1. Limit the BBQ Pork, although I love it-it does not love me.
2. Go with chicken and small portions.
3. Make dishes that I can substitute smart ground for ground beef.
4. Marinade chicken is Fat Free Zesty Italian dressing instead of fatty marinades.
5. Make shrimp kabobs instead of beef kabobs.
If I stick to portion control and eat healthier meats I can enjoy the cookout and still be successful. In the morning we will see how well I did. Good luck to every one in the challenge, but especially Team COMET.

GAG 2009
My wife, Manda, talked me into joining this challenge. I have never been part of an online blog challenge before but think that it will help me lose the last 33 lbs. I lost the first 80-something, the last 33 shouldn't be that big a deal. I will post my pictures tomorrow.
